livestrong campaign for personal responsibility

I have never paid much attention to the Livestrong campaign. I used to be particularly annoyed by the yellow wristbands- why does one need to wear (consume) something to show what they are thinking about? Tonight I searched for articles on personal responsibility and was pleasantly surprised:
